Telema MMT installation, settings and connections

How to install and remove Telema MMT

Make sure that the device is connected to the Internet!

Telema MMT is available on Google Play store and can be installed like any other Android app.

  1. Find the Google Play store app on your device. Open it.
  2. Search for "telema mmt"
  3. Find the Telema MMT app (with Telema logo). Open it.
  4. Tap on Install (Accept the terms).
  5. Once it's downloaded and installed, tap on Open (this opens the Telema MMT app).
  6. Now inside Telema MMT app, tap the button “New”
  7. Enter your username and password. Description is optional.
  8. Tap the Save button. When app asks "Update data?", tap Yes.
  9. Once the data has been loaded, you are ready to go!

How to install barcode reader (also for QR codes)

Telema MMT uses third party application Barcode Scanner to read the barcodes. Follow these steps to install it:

  1. Open Telema MMT application and open Products in the Main Menu
  2. Tap on barcode button - a dialog "This application requires Barcode Scanner. Would you like to install it?" is displayed
  3. Tap Yes and allow the following activities until the message "Application installed" is displayed
  4. Tap "Done"

Remove Telema MMT from the device

Telema MMT can be removed the same way as any other application on your device. For detailed instructions see your devices user manual. Here is how it works for most Android devices: Open Settings > choose Applications > Manage applications > find Telema MMT and tap on it > screen opens with the option to Uninstall it and then confirm the option

User management

Open Telema MMT > press the Menu button > tap on Settings > on the Settings window press on the Menu button again > tap on “Manage Users”

Add a user

In Telema MMT user management window tap on New and fill in the User and Password fields with the correct user security elements:

Description: freely selectable description by the user (important if the same device is configured for multiple users)

Delete a user

In the user management tap and hold your finger on the user that is to be deleted until the additional option Delete will appear > choose Delete > confirm your action

Switch users

Users can be switched only when there are more than one user account registered in the program.

In the main menu (Customers, Products, Events, Documents) tap on the device's Back button > in the window “Exit?” tap on “Switch User” > in the users list select the other user account, the program opens with the selected user data > Update Data

Application settings

Server: pre-filled with real data, doesn’t need any changes

Sync Mode: defines if the data is updated all at once or in two steps. 

  • Full - all master data is updated at once
  • Dual - master data is updated in two parts:
    • General data (like customers' and products' data) during the main data import
    • Customer specific data (customer prices and assortments and customer history) only when starting a visit or a document

Next Invoice number: required to fill only when the invoices are made with Telema MMT

Quick Order Entry: choose how you want to add products to your order 

  • On – products can only be added via the quantity window in the product list. Tapping on the product in the product list will always open the small quantity window on the selected row and the keyboard. Sometimes it is necessary to view the product card while performing this action - for that, hold your finger on the product for approximately one second until the product card is opened.
  • Off - product can only be added through the product card. Clicking on the product in the product list will always open the product's card, where, in addition to entering quantities, the user has the possibilities of entering discounts, overwriting the price and viewing more detailed information about the product
  • Smart – product can be added through the quantity window and through the product card. Clicking on the "Quantity" or the "Price" fields will open a small window for entering quantities; clicking on the name or the code of the product will open product card.

History (days): enter the number of days for how long the documents will be held in the device

Language: choose the suitable language from the list > Save > exit the program by pressing the Back button > open Telema MMT again – the application is now in the chosen language

Default Unit: defines which units are used by default while ordering

  • Sales unit - if the sales unit (e.g. box of 12 pieces) is described in master data for products application automatically uses the sales unit as by default. If the sales unit is not described base units are used
  • Base unit - base units (e.g. pcs) are used for all the products

Units in document: defines in which units the documents are displayed

  • Base unit - all documents are displayed in base units
  • Selected units - all documents are displayed in the units that the user has selected during ordering (e.g. base unit for one product, box for another, ballet for third)

Assortment date: if there are prices defined based on different time periods this option defines which prices to use according to selected parameter 

  • Order date - prices according to order date are used, order date will be the date it is actually sent 
  • Delivery date - prices according to delivery date are used

Restore from back-up: the application creates back-up copy of the data upon every exit of the application. If the situation occurs where Telema MMT application is uninstalled from the device for some reason (e.g. restoring of factory defaults) the most recent situation can be restored here.

  1. Install Telema MMT application
  2. Create the user account with correct security elements (user and password)
  3. Go to settings and select Restore from back-up
  4. Select the account to be restored

 

Upgrade application

Open Telema MMT > press the device’s Menu button > choose Settings > tap on the application version number on the top right hand corner of the screen and allow the following actions

How to place the Telema MMT icon on your Home screen

Tap and hold your finger on an empty spot until it opens the menu, tap on Shortcuts > Applications > scroll down and find from the list Telema MMT and tap on it – Telema MMT icon will appear in your home screen

or…

Open Applications >scroll down and find Telema MMT from the list > tap and hold on the Telema MMT icon until the home screen appears on the display > after you have found a desirable place, let the icon loose 

Choose language

Open Telema MMT > press on the Menu button > choose Settings > on the field Language choose the desired language > Save > exit the program by pressing the Back button > activate Telema MMT again – the application is now in your chosen language

Configuring the Internet and data connections

Switch on Wi-Fi

Press device's Menu button > Settings > Wireless & networks > check the Wi-Fi option > open Wi-Fi settings > choose the network to connect to

Enable mobile data connection

Press the device’s Menu button > Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > check the box behind “Data enabled” and try to download data in Telema MMT > Access Point Names > choose the preferred access point which the device should be connected to (see service provider's settings)

EMT

EMT Internet must be chosen/activated from the access points list!

If this option is not listed, press on the device’s Menu button > New APN > add the access point with the following settings:

Name: EMT Internet

APN: internet.emt.ee

APN type: default,supl

Other fields will remain as they are!
If they are assigned, press the device’s Menu button and Save

In “Mobile networks” check the box behind “Data enabled” and try in Telema MMT to download data, to make sure if it really works

Updating data, sending documents

Update data

Press on the the device’s Menu button > choose “Import data”

Send documents

Open Documents tab > tap on Send Documents

  • The application sends only the documents with the status Unsent
  • Documents with the status Draft will stay on the device and they cannot be sent

Send events

Open Events tab > tap on Send

  • The application will send only those events together with all the documents to server, which's status is Unsent
  • If the event is completed, but it contains a document with a status Draft, then this visit won’t be sent
  • If the event contains documents with both statuses Unsent and Draft, then only Unsent documents will be sent, Drafts and the visit itself won’t be sent
  • Events with the status Draft will stay in the device and won’t be sent away
